Educator

Jessica currently serves on the faculty of The Juilliard School for MAP in the Preparatory Division and the Music Division specializing in E-Flat Clarinet. She regularly conducts wind sectionals at Juilliard Pre-College and made her conducting debut with The Juilliard Pre-College Wind Ensemble in 2021.

She was recently appointed Clarinet Studio Head Faculty at OAcademy Music Conservatory, a modern, flexible learning approach that pairs artist training with technology, a global network, peer-learning, and career development.

She has served on the faculty Rutgers University Mason Gross School for the Arts for over a decade, and has taught at New World Symphony, Carnegie Hall’s NYO2, Festival Napa Valley, the Pacific Music Festival in Japan, and the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. She regularly teaches private lessons.

Jessica has worked closely with Backun Musical Services to promote and design products for E-Flat clarinet and she was an integral part of the formation of the MOBA products. She has also collaborated with Backun Musical Services on over twenty educational YouTube videos. Her videos The Eb Clarinet Made Simple, Mastering the Eb Clarinet, Legato, and Finger Exercises have collectively garnered over 30K views, with Becoming A Great Second Player, Reeds: Proper Preparation is the Key and Ultimate Audition Preparation with over 15k views each.

Recent notable masterclasses include NYU, Stony Brook University, Manhattan School of Music, University of Alabama Birmingham, Juilliard Pre-College Summer Winds Program, University of Miami Frost School of Music, Eastman School of Music, Florida State University, Manhattan School of Music Pre-College, Northwestern University, California State University at Northridge, Western Washington University, and the Suwon and Donkok Universities in Seoul Korea.
